Litigation Legal Assistant

Central Montgomery County law firm is seeking a litigation legal assistant with a minimum of five years’ experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet daily deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and e-filings required. Strong spelling, grammar, typing skills and dictation transcription needed. Duties will include working closely supporting attorneys to produce correspondence, pleadings and documents related to complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have the following skills: · Maintain calendars and track deadlines · Order and track records and prepare corresponding tracking reports · Assemble pleadings and motions (with the proper attachments) and be able to electronically file them in state and federal courts · MUST follow up on all deadlines and tasks · MUST take a proactive approach without the need for constant direction · MUST be willing to accept ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks · MUST be able to turn around assignments in a prompt manner In addition, experience working independently to organize and manage discovery files, schedule and notice depositions with multiple parties, as well as trial preparation is mandatory. Client contact is expected and the confidential handling of client information is required. Salary commensurate with experience.
